Swastha is a team of crafts people and manufacturers of cast-iron cookware at Harihar,Karnataka. We are dedicated to making heirloom-quality cast-iron cookware.Each piece undergoes a meticulous process, from casting to finishing, resulting in cookware that exudes excellence.
Our work is inspired by health, which in Sanskrit translates to ‘Swastha’ and by the hardworking history of Indian cast iron, grounded in our belief that cooking should be genuine an experience you value and share with others.
It’s these simple ideas that guide us as we reinvent cast iron cookware with modern design to enhance the life of every cook.
Swastha : How it all began
Asha Pradeep and her family valued healthy cooking and healthy eating above all else. They embraced organic ingredients, free from pesticides, as a foundation of their kitchen habits. But Asha knew that true healthiness extended beyond just ingredients; the cookware had to be toxin-free too.
In her quest, she uncovered the age-old wisdom of using cast iron cookware, renowned for its health benefits. Inspired by this knowledge, Asha and her husband Pradeep decided to produce their own cast iron cookware in their in-house foundry.
Curious about the potential response, they crafted a cast iron dosa tawa. The family adored the dosas cooked on it, spurring them to create a few more units to share with close relatives. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive!
This encouraging response fueled Asha and Pradeep’s ambition to create healthy cast iron cookware for the wider world, thus giving birth to ‘Swastha Cookware’— a premium range of cast iron cookware.
Swastha meticulously refined their manufacturing process, employing superior techniques from casting to finishing, resulting in cookware of premium quality.
Starting modestly in Harihar, Karnataka, India, Swastha Cookware has rapidly expanded its reach over the past 5 years, now serving over 6000 customers both domestically and internationally. Swastha’s diverse range caters to the varied cooking needs of different regions in India and is beloved by home chefs worldwide.
